What's Happening Now

WICHITA, Kan. – Crime Stoppers of Wichita/Sedgwick County has approved an increased reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect responsible for the homicide of Trayvon Stewart.
The Crime Stoppers Committee, which operates under the Wichita Metro Crime Commission, voted to raise the existing $5,000 reward by an additional $5,000. Working in partnership with the Wichita Police Department, the increase aims to encourage additional tips and information from the public that could assist investigators in identifying and locating the suspect.
The homicide occurred on October 23, 2025, at Dr. Glen Dey Park, resulting in the tragic death of Mr. Stewart.
“Crime Stoppers remains committed to supporting law enforcement and our community by providing anonymous ways for citizens to share critical information, ” said Sharon Van Horn, Executive Director of the Wichita Metro Crime Commission. “We hope that by increasing the reward, someone with knowledge about this case will come forward and help bring closure to the victim’s family. ”
