NEWTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

At about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, a homeowner in the 400 block of Normandy Road in Newton was the victim of a shooting. He was confronted by a man, armed with a handgun, who was attempting to steal his vehicle. The suspect shot him several times and then ran from the scene. The victim underwent surgery and is recovering from his injuries.

Several donors have provided a supplemental reward in this case for any information leading to the identity of the suspect.
