CRIME STOPPERS CASE 1737
FOR THE WEEK OF OCT. 12, 2017
WICHITA POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Patrol East Bureau partnered with Crime Stoppers this week for a special Crime Alert. There have been 158 Larceny from Auto cases from September 4th through October 1st in the Patrol East Bureau alone.
When vehicles are left unlocked and items are left in plain view, it increases the chances that vehicles will be broken into. Even when items are not in plain view, vehicles may be rifled through. The crime of opportunity can happen anywhere, and items such as purses, handguns, wallets, laptops, and credit cards have been taken.

In the last several weeks, the Wichita Police Department has seen an increase in these types of crimes in the College Hill neighborhood. Wichita Police are trying to identify any suspects who may be responsible for these crimes.

The Wichita Police Department and Crime Stoppers would like remind everyone to take preventative measures by “hiding your items, taking your keys, and locking your doors”.

If you have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
