About 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8, unknown suspects burglarized Contour Landscaping in the 3600 block of North Topeka. Video surveillance captured a suspect vehicle, pictured below. The suspects forced entry into the business and stole two pickup trucks, both with the Contour Landscaping logo. One is a white GMC Sierra; the other is a white Chevy Silverado, similar to the truck pictured. Also taken were two trailers, similar to the one shown below. They were carrying five 72-inch riding lawn mowers. The loss is significant. The business would appreciate assistance in locating the stolen items.

A year ago on Saturday, March 20, a pedestrian was stuck by a white SUV traveling south on Tracy Street at about 8:30 p.m. The driver didn’t stop, and the victim was seriously injured.

The SUV turned east onto Maple Street and then possibly north into a neighborhood area. Investigators have no leads in this case.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Monday, March 13, two men leaving the Driftwood Lounge in the 1200 block of East MacArthur Road were approached by two armed strangers who demanded money. The first victim was shot in the left elbow and, after a brief scuffle with one of the suspects, was shot a second time on his right side. He ran back inside the lounge. As the second victim ran toward the lounge, he was shot several times in his legs.

Both suspects are white, about 6 feet tall and have slender builds. They were last seen running toward a nearby trailer park.

No. 1 is about 25 years old and was wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans and had no facial hair. No. 2 is about 30 and was wearing a brown multi-colored hoodie, blue jeans and a brown hat.
