Two people were shot about 10:45 p.m. on Monday, April 20, at 914 S. Mission. They were on the porch when two men shot at them several times while their backs were turned. The suspects ran away. Both victims are expected to survive.

The first suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man, 18 to 24 years old, 5-foot-10 and weighing around 200 pounds. The second suspect is a black man, early 20s, 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds. Both men were wearing black hoodie jackets and dark pants.

About 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 5, a man robbed the Kwik Shop at 2750 S. Oliver. He entered the store, picked up a beverage and went to the counter to check out. He asked the clerk for cigarettes, but realized he didn't have enough money to pay for them. When the clerk turned around to put them back on the shelf, the suspect jumped the counter and pulled knife on him. The suspect then ordered him to open the register and lay on the ground. The robber took the cash and other items and ran away.

He is black with dark skin, about 5-foot-7, a slender build and probably weighs about 150 pounds. He was wearing a blue baseball hat with “NYC” on it in white, white tennis shoes, blue jeans and a tan jacket with a dark colored hood.

LEAD: DET. MARCEAU, WICHITA POLICE DEPARTMENT

About 7:15 a.m. Friday, April 3, a 41-year-old man was dropped off at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound to the right side of his face. Detectives were able to determine that he was shot in the parking lot of the Town Manor Motel, 1112 N. Broadway. He is expected to survive.

The suspect is a black male who was wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants.

LEAD: DET. ALEXANDER, WICHITA POLICE DEPARTMENT

About 1:30 a.m. Friday, April 3, three men robbed the Jump Start convenience store at 851 S. Meridian. As they entered the store, one of them fired a gun. No one was injured. The robbers took an unknown amount of tobacco products before fleeing south on foot.

Both suspects are black. Suspect 1 is 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, red shorts and a white mask. Suspect 2 and suspect 3 are each about 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds. Suspect 2 was wearing a dark hoodie, dark gloves and a white mask. Suspect 3 was wearing a dark hoodie, dark shorts, dark gloves and a white mask.
