CRIME STOPPERS CASE # CS1430

Just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, the Dollar General at 1919 E. Pawnee was robbed. Two men entered the store, and one pointed a handgun at the employee. They forced him to the back of the store where the office is located. When they couldn't get into the office they grabbed miscellaneous items and damaged the cash register when they tried to get into it. They ran east from the store; the employee wasn't injured.

Suspect one is a black man, mid 20s, 6-foot- 2 and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing white shorts with a white and dark striped T-shirt, dark shoes, and a red hat with a sticker on it. Suspect two is a dark-skinned black man, mid-20s, 5-foot-10 and about 150 pounds. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, black shorts, long black socks and white shoes. He had a gray shirt over his face and was carrying the black handgun.

Just after 1 p.m. Friday, July 11, a man went into the M and V check cashing service at 2247 N. Arkansas and said he wanted to cash a check. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, he pulled out a handgun and took the money. The robber ran west from the business and possibly got into a late model four- BMW.

He is Hispanic, in his early 20s, 5-foot-9 and about 150 pounds. He was wearing gray basketball shorts and a white T-shirt.

LEAD DETECTIVE: DET. BANNING, SEDGWICK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Sometime between 11 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, and 8 a.m. Thursday, June 26, two John Deere Gators were taken from a residence in the 6600 block of S. 143rd St. E. The thieves cut through straps holding the Gators on a trailer and drove them off through an adjoining property. Both had toolboxes attached to their beds. Loss is valued at more than $20,000.

About 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, a man went into Fidelity Bank at 3525 E. Harry, pointed a handgun at the teller and demanded money. He got an unknown amount of cash and ran south from the bank. Police searched the area, but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is a thin black man with a dark complexion, 6-foot-3 to 6-foot-5 and about 150 pounds. He was wearing a black cap, a black T-shirt with a picture of Ben Franklin on it, jeans and white shoes.
