Sometime between 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 4, and 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, someone stole an 8-foot-long white box trailer from a private lot in the 6600 block of South Oliver. It contained a large amount of homemade Christmas crafts. The loss of the trailer and contents is valued at more than $5,500.

Just after noon on Sunday, April 13, two men entered the Dillons at 6297 E. 13th. One man picked up a large amount of meat and some CDs, and started to walk out of the store. An employee confronted him about paying for the items and was punched in the face, losing consciousness. He was punched a second time as he lay on the floor. The loss was more than $400. The thief left with another man, and the pair drove off in a white Chevy Astro van. The employee had minor injuries.

The suspect is a bald black male, 5-foot-11, 260 pounds with brown eyes. He was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a ball cap. The man he was with also is black, 6-feet-tall with a large build. He was wearing jeans and a plaid shirt.

LEAD DETECTIVE: DET. DAVIS, WICHITA POLICE DEPARTMENT, ROBBERY

Just after 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 7, a young man entered the TT Station convenient store at 1102 W. Maple. When the two employees witnessed him shoplifting and confronted him, the thief shoved the woman employee and punched the male employee in the face. Then he ran out the store, leaving his bicycle. Loss was minimal; the employees suffered minor injuries.

He is described as white with a muscular build, in his early 20s, about 5-foot-10 and weighing about 180 pounds. He has short blonde hair and was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt with a white undershirt.

LEAD DETECTIVE: DET. LITTLETON, SEDGWICK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Just after 11 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, a woman driving east on Kellogg near I-135 saw the car behind her was traveling at a high rate of speed. Just before it hit her the driver swerved into the outside lane, rear-ended a car in that lane, spun out and struck the front passenger side of the woman’s car. It then landed on the shoulder where it struck the guard rail.

The woman pulled to the side of the road and called 911. She was going to check on the other driver but he got out of his car. He walked to her car and started punching it. He then made some violent motions toward her and returned to his car. He was able to start it and then rammed her car again, pushing it back onto Kellogg. He then sped away east on Kellogg.

He is a Hispanic male, 5 feet to 5-feet-6, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He was driving a ‘90s model silver Oldsmobile. It will have front end and front passenger side damage.
