At about 4:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, officers responded to a call about a walk-in shooting at an area hospital. They learned that there were four occupants in a vehicle at the intersection of Kellogg and Woodlawn when it was struck by gunfire. They had just left a party at the Days Inn on East Kellogg when a black Chrysler pulled behind them. The rear window of the suspect vehicle rolled down; there were four men in the back seat and two men in the front seat; all the men were black. An occupant in the Chrysler fired at the other vehicle, causing damage to its rear. An occupant in the back seat was hit by a bullet. She was treated at the hospital. Officers located 23 cartridge casings at the scene.
