About 9:15 on Tuesday evening, Oct. 13, a man went into The Express Mart at 565 S. Market armed with a handgun. He pointed the gun at the cashier and demanded money. Another man stood by the door of the store as a lookout. Both suspects ran from the store when the gunman got the money.

Both men were black. The man with the gun was wearing a black and gray Hollister- brand hooded sweatshirt, black and blue basketball shorts and black shoes. The clerk described the armed suspect as a black male but noted that the hands of the suspect were discolored or had a pigment defect of some kind.
