About 3 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2015, a woman was walking in the 600 block of East Douglas when a man on a bicycle yelled an obscenity at her. He then approached her and hit her on the left side of her head with an unknown object. She sustained serious head injuries and underwent surgery at a local hospital.  The suspect is described as a black male.
