CRIME STOPPERS CASE #1538

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #1538
FOR THE WEEK OF SEPT. 27, 2015
DEPARTMENT CASE NUMBER: 15C61742
LEAD DETECTIVE: DET. NALDOZA, WICHITA POLICE DEPT.

Around noon on Sept. 16, 2015, a man went into Blevins Auto Sales at 3407 W Maple and asked about a white 1999 Ford Expedition that was for sale on the lot. The saleswoman got the keys so he could look at it, and he asked to test drive it. She went back to the office to get a temporary license plate. As she started to walk out with the tag, the man pulled out a gun and forced her back into the office. He told her to sit in a chair and then tied her hands and put tape on her mouth. He demanded money, but there was none in the office so he took her cell phone and the SUV. It did not have a license plate and still had price stickers and writing on the front windshield.

The man is white, about 5-feet-6, 160 pounds, unshaven and has brown stained teeth. He was wearing a camouflage T-shirt, dark-blue denim jeans and a ball cap.
