Sometime between 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, and 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, thieves broke into a city-owned building at 5300 S. Meridian. They took a 2007 Chevy truck with a tandem-axle trailer with “City of Wichita” markings; a Bobcat utility vehicle; a Stihl edger and power pruner; three Stihl chainsaws; four Stihl back-pack leaf blowers; seven Stihl weed eaters; and a red Craftsman toolbox with miscellaneous tools. Loss is valued at more than $100,000.
